Dog Training Classes Schedule

Our class sizes are intentionally small, with a maximum of 6 per class. In comparison, large classes are more stressful for the dogs and their people. In our classes you will benefit from a better learning environment and receive more personalized attention.


Preparing Your Puppy for Life Program

*Comparable to Early Education, no pet parents
Program is overseen by a nationally accredited Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). Instructors have in-depth professional expertise working specifically with puppies.

Our Preparing Your Puppy for Life program is limited to 3 puppies per session to allow the extra attention and nurturing that puppies require. Science has proven that ages 3 to 16 weeks are critical to a puppy’s successful social and emotional development, and this innovative program is uniquely suited to benefit puppies (read more here) = Call for current pricing.

Puppy Play School

*Comparable to Pre-K, with pet parents
Lead Instructor is nationally accredited Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT).
This fun and lively class is for puppies (7+ weeks) and their people. Your puppy will be gently exposed to novel experiences, socialization with other dogs and people, and learn some basic skills to increase confidence and provide a solid foundation for future training. You will learn about all things puppy like house training, what to do about biting and chewing, health and grooming. All attendees will receive one Free day of doggie daycare = $30 value.
Wednesdays, 7:00 – 8:00 pm or 8:05 – 9:05 pm, six sessions, on-going, start anytime*
Sundays, 8/5 – 9/16, 2:30 – 3:30 pm, six sessions* Pet parents only  for first class. No class Labor Day weekend.


Puppy Good Manners

*Comparable to Kindergarten, no pet parents
This comprehensive one-on-one program (dog only) is ideal for puppies between the ages of 14 to 24 weeks that have had no previous training. We will work with your puppy on Basic Obedience: name recognition, sit, down, watch me, leave it, loose leash walking, and come. Also includes Good Manners with people such as sitting while greeting people, sitting at doors, no jumping or barking. Mental stimulation and development is provided through puzzle toys and crate training. Finally, your puppy will learn Good Manners while in a dog playgroup such as proper canine communication cues, appropriate play styles and more. Homework and knowledge transfer will be provided to the pet parent after each session. Call for current pricing.
Offered Monday-Saturday, four x 4-hour sessions, flexible times, on-going, start anytime*


Obedience Level 1

*Comparable to Grade School, with pet parents
Instructor is nationally accredited Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT).

In this class we will cover all of the basic obedience behaviors you should get in any class; sit, down, stay, come and heel. We’ll also teach your dog to stand on cue. In addition, a great deal of time also will be spent on house and social manners. We’ll address jumping up, barking, biting, stealing inappropriate items and any other behavior causing problems. Advance registration and payment is required to reserve your spot.
Six consecutive weeks, call for start date/time


Obedience Level 2

*Comparable to Middle School, with pet parents
Instructor is nationally accredited Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT).
In this class we will take your dog’s basic skills to the next level! We will focus on precise skills and off-leash control with distractions. Advance registration and payment is required to reserve your spot.
Six consecutive weeks, call for start date


Mat Training and Relaxation Protocol

In this class, we will start the process of teaching our dogs how to relax (yes, this has to be taught)
We will utilize both mat training and Dr. Karen Overall’s Relaxation Protocol. Prerequisites: familiar with marker training (either a word or clicker), dog has some basic commands such as sit and your dog has participated in group classes without issue. *This is not a class for reactive dogs. Limited to 5 dogs.
Mondays, December 3 – 17, 8:05-9:05pm

Dog Training Checklist:

  • Must be at least 7-weeks of age; except for Preparing Your Puppy for Life Program
  • Please return Class Registration Agreement prior to first class
  • Bring current vaccinations record to first class
  • Bring a flat buckle collar and 6′ or shorter non-retractable leash
  • Positive attitude, ready to learn and have fun!
  • Optional: bag of high-quality treats
